INSTRUCTOR DEMONSTRATIONS

This class will explore the emotional and intellectual aspects of figure painting with an emphasis on how to create not just a painting but an artwork.  The main focus will be on interpreting the subject matter, selecting the “right” theme and creating a painting with compelling content.  The expressive power of paint itself will be emphasized as a way to create freshness and strength, and to represent form.  We will also study the time tested principles of painting:  composition, values, color and edges.  Students will receive personal attention including individual and group instruction, critiques, and demonstrations.

The cost of the 2 day workshop is $200.  To hold your place send a $50 deposit check made out to RED PALETTE ART CENTER, mail to Carol Showalter, 5903 Cardinal Creek Way, Kingwood, TX  77345  by April 1.  Deposit fees are not refunded unless workshop is cancelled.  Final payment check due April 15 made out to SLYVIA TRYBEK mail to Carol @ above address.  Any concerns email Carol @ kwtx6@cebridge.net.
